Care Instructions

A large portion of our products are made with carbon steel, either entirely or as an integral component. This steel will age and color over time as it is used. General care instructions for carbon steel tools, pans, and cutlery follows:

  • Wipe clean after use and dry immediately after use, especially when using in an acidic environment (like cutting or cooking tomatoes, onions, or citrus.

  • A light film of food-safe oil may be applied between uses, or a light wax product on non-food contact tools such as Axe Wax, or Johnson’s Paste Wax.

  • Do not store in drawers,

  • Do not run knives in dishwashers.

  • Periodically sharpen blades as needed using the sharpening stone of your choice.
